Just finished this movie. The creatures were kinda lame, but I understood the metaphor. Dementia is not a fun thing. It is a diseased poison to the one who has it and it affects all those around the person who has it. He knew he would become this “monster” and he did which in turn, effected his sons. Not too bad of a movie
I don’t know if I fully understand the deeper meanings, but on the surface this is a fun film. Part demonic horror, part dark comedy and part body horror! Plus I’m a massive fan of the show FRINGE so seeing John Noble is always a welcomed surprise!
I enjoyed it, but I can’t say that I completely understand it. Others are saying the demon is a metaphor for dementia. I can kind of see that, but I would really rather have a more definitive explanation even if it is along the lines of the dad was a sh*t, made a bargain with the devil, took on some sort of hereditary damnation, and sold his sons down the river. It has a good vibe, great sense of humor, and creepy creature effects. I guess you should give it a try. God knows I’ve seen a lot worse!! Haha!
nah
Oh yes I liked it. when I saw the reviews on rotten tomatoes I wasn’t sure if watch it or not…glad I did
