This is a really cool and subtle film. There is some great scares and some great subtextual looks into Indonesian Mussallem culture and society. The directors eye is something to behold. It was generally scary and creepy piece of Horror cinema. I did however sometimes have issues following the subtitles and at parts it lags. All and all it's an engrossing film with some impeccable acting and some great writing. "Satan's Slaves" is not only a good, creepy Horror flick but honestly due to lighting and camera work it's a beautiful piece of Cinema Art. If your interested in that sort of thing and some fun (especially with the family dynamic) check this one out.

Not a frightening or original storyline. Retelling of oft repeated tropes

Some good moments, but relies a lot on jump scares, and the tension ebbs in the final act. If you're familiar with English language horror it might interest you to see an Indonesian interpretation of the haunting/possession genre.
